Privacy Policy

MCQ Hub is an exam-practice app and website for job and admission candidates in Bangladesh. It is developed and operated by OvroIT ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can delete it. It applies to the MCQ Hub Android app and the MCQ Hub website.

Account details you give us: your name, email address and mobile phone number, and your password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash — nobody at MCQ Hub can see them.

If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo, as shared by Google, and we then ask you for your mobile number. We never see your Google password.

Guest use: if you use the app without an account, we create an anonymous ID so your progress can be saved. No name, email or phone number is attached to it.

Learning activity: the questions you answer and the options you choose, test attempts, scores, time taken, streaks, bookmarked questions, and any question reports you send (including the note you write).

Credits and referrals: your credit balance and every credit transaction (sign-up bonus, referral rewards, rewarded ads, purchases and test entries), your referral code and who invited you.

Purchases (website only): the credit pack, amount, status and the transaction ID from the payment gateway. Your card, bKash or Nagad details are entered on the payment gateway’s own page and are never stored by us.

Security records: when you ask for a password-reset code we briefly record the email address and time, to limit how many codes can be requested.

On your device: the app stores your sign-in session and your preferences (language, theme and target exam) on your phone.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, messages or call logs. The app does not currently use analytics or crash-reporting tools.

To provide MCQ Hub: practice, tests, scoring, rankings, streaks and progress analytics, and keeping one account in sync between the app and the website.

To send account emails: sign-up verification codes and password-reset codes. We do not send marketing emails.

To run the credit system: sign-up bonuses, referral rewards, rewarded-ad credits, purchases and test entry.

To keep the service fair and secure: preventing fraud, duplicate accounts made to collect bonuses, and abuse of password resets.

To improve questions and explanations using the reports you send, and to answer your support requests.

Every account needs a mobile number. It is kept as contact information for your account (for example, to help you recover it or confirm a deletion request). It is not used to sign in, not verified by SMS, not shown to other users and not used for marketing.

On test leaderboards, other candidates can see your display name, score and rank. If you invited a friend, they see a shortened form of your name (for example "Rafi A."), and you see theirs. Your email address and phone number are never shown to other users. You can change your display name at any time in your Profile.

The app may offer optional rewarded video ads: you choose to watch a short ad to earn free credits. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is shown, Google may collect information from your device such as the advertising ID, IP address and device type to deliver the ad, count views, confirm the reward and prevent fraud. We request non-personalised ads, so ads are not based on your interests or history. Watching ads is never required to use MCQ Hub.

Google’s use of this data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.

We use these service providers, who process data only on our behalf to run MCQ Hub: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Resend (account emails), Google (Google sign-in, and AdMob for rewarded ads), our Bangladeshi payment gateway (website purchases), and our website hosting provider.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service.

Your data is stored on Supabase servers in Mumbai, India (ap-south-1). It is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Strict database access rules mean each user can reach only their own private data, and correct answers to tests are never sent to your device before you finish.

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed straight away (see "Deleting your account" below).

Payment records are kept after account deletion for as long as accounting and tax law requires, but without your name, email, phone number or the gateway’s response details.

Password-reset request records are deleted within 24 hours.

Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.

Guest data: if you log out of a guest session, that progress can no longer be reached from any device. To remove it, use Settings > Delete my data before logging out.

In the app: open the menu > Settings > Delete account, and confirm. Your account and its data are deleted immediately.

Without the app: visit the MCQ Hub website’s "Delete account" page, or email mcqhub@ovroit.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete it within 7 days and confirm by email.

Deletion removes your profile, name, email, phone number, password, progress, test results, bookmarks, question reports, referrals and credit history. Remaining credits are forfeited and cannot be refunded. Only anonymised payment records are kept, as described above.

You can change your display name in the app, and delete your account at any time. To get a copy of your data, or to correct your email or phone number, email us at mcqhub@ovroit.com.

MCQ Hub is meant for students and candidates aged 15 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it. If you are under 18, please use MCQ Hub with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
